The Group of Biology of Reproduction is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join our research team at the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC) by middle of 2017. The aim of the PhD thesis is to identify how environmental changes affect fish gonads at the epigenetic level.
Candidates should hold a Master´s degree in Biology, Genetics, Aquaculture or similar with high qualifications in both Degree and Master studies. The PhD position is funded by a one-year contract and continued funding will depend on the competence of the candidate.
The proposed project involves working, among others, with live fish, molecular techniques in the lab and in silico analysis by handling bioinformatics data. Candidates with working experience in these fields are especially encouraged to apply. The position requires good organizational skills, independence and ability to work well with others.
